Govt to give 2 lakh each to National cricket team

The government is going to give Rs 2 lakh each to the members of the Nepali cricket team for winning the series in Kathmandu under the ICC World Cup Cricket League-2.

Members of the National Cricket Team met Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal at his residence in Baluwatar on Thursday. During this, Prime Minister Dahal announced the prize money of the players.

“In a short time, Nepal has established its height in cricket at the national and international level. This is a matter of pride for the entire nation. On behalf of the government of Nepal, we announce that we will give Rs 200,000 to each person as an inspiration, " said Prime Minister to the players.

Nepal swept the four-match series against Namibia and Scotland last week. The National cricket team is going to the UAE on February 26 for the series to be held from February 27 to March 6 under the ICC World Cup Cricket League-2. Nepal will play the first match against Papua New Guinea.
