Nepal have defeated Bahrain by 10 wickets in the ICC Women's T20 World Cup Qualifier 2023. This is the second consecutive wins for Nepal in the match. Earlier on August 31, Nepal beat Malaysia by five runs.
Today's match was held in Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia. Chasing a meagre of 32 runs target, Nepal achieved it in 2.5 overs without wicket loss. For Nepal, Kabita Kunwar remained unbeaten on 17 off 14 balls with three boundaries. Similarly, Sita Ranamagar finished not out on two.
Winning the toss and electing to bat first, Bahrain was restricted to meager 31 runs in 15.4 overs at the loss of all wickets.
For the country, Captain Deepika Rasangika hit the highest 11 runs. Other players could not hit double-digit scores. On bowling, Nepal's Indu Barma bagged three wickets while Khusi Dangol two. Similarly, Kabita Kunwar, Puja Mahato and Rubina Chhetri took one each.
In their third match, Nepal are facing Bhutan on coming Sunday.
