Sandeep Lamichhane's case will be heard in closed court.
The bench of Supreme Court Judges Sapna Malla Pradhan and Kumar Chudal ordered the hearing of the case to be held in closed session.
Lamichhane, who was remanded in custody pending trial in the case of raping a minor, was heard by the joint bench of Judge Sapna Malla Pradhan and Kumar Chudal on the government's petition against Patan's order to release him on bail and allow him to go abroad.
Before starting the hearing on the government's application, Lamichhane's lawyer had demanded to hear the case in closed court. There is a provision to hear cases of sexual violence in a closed court. After the order of the bench, the closed session started, in which only the lawyers of the government and Lamichhane’s side are participating.
