Nepal lost 2-0 to Bhutan in the first match of AFC U-20 Asian Cup qualification. Nepal lost in the selection of Group B which started in Bahrain.
In the 33rd minute of the match, Sonam scored a goal and gave Bhutan the lead. In the 47th minute, Karma Tasi doubled the lead of Bhutan. Avishek Waiba had to leave the field after facing a red card during the injury time due to a foul on the opposing player.
Nepal is in Group B along with Bhutan, Qatar, Bahrain and Bangladesh.
