The attraction of domestic tourists towards mountain flights is increasing in Pokhara.
In the past, only foreign tourists were interested in mountain flights, but in recent years, domestic tourists have come to Pokhara to take a tour and explore the mountainous scenery of Pokhara and its surroundings. According to Amrit Adhikari, the operator of a Heli Service in Pokhara, the tourists can reach Mardi High Camp and base camp, Kori Himal and Kafuche glacial lake from Pokhara by helicopter.
Lately, domestic tourists visiting Pokhara have been attracted to mountain flights. Several helicopter services are providing services to tourists by hiring Air helicopters. The officials said that they charge Rs. 25,000 per person for Kori Himal from Pokhara, Rs. 20,000 per person for Mardi Himal and Rs 10,000 for Sarangkot and surrounding areas.
Up to Rs 200,000 is charged for a flight from Pokhara to Muktinath. The flights have the capacity to accommodate up to five people, the official said. Entrepreneurs who visit Pokhara say that their spending capacity has also increased in recent days.
