Regarding the ongoing obstacles in waste management, the head of Kathmandu Metropolitan City, Balendra Shah (Balen) says, "No one should face any problem while managing waste. This is our commitment. We are honest, conscious and sensitive in our commitment. It is not our intention to mobilize the police administration to transport waste, to the landfill site."

Giving information about the status of implementation of the agreement between Kathmandu Metropolitan City, Dhunibesi Municipality and Kakani Rural Municipality, Chief Shah mentioned that the work is immediately being done through the regular process and budget has also been allocated for the work to be done in the current financial year.

With the help of the police administration, 186 vehicles were taken to the landfill site on Tuesday. After local disturbances, the police had to use force.

They have been obstructing the road saying that the demands such as, the completion of road construction and maintenance should be met.

Preparations are being made for the transportation of waste as well, by deploying security on Wednesday. According to Yuvraj Rizal, Deputy Inspector of Armed Police Base Camp Banchare, the locals have gathered on the hill. 41 vehicles are lined up to dump garbage near Dhandkhola.

According to Deputy Superintendent of City Police Purnachandra Bhatta, 100 vehicles carrying garbage have moved on from Mudkhu.

As the road is narrow in some places, traffic is not easy, so some vehicles have been stopped at Tintiple. Similarly, some have been stopped at Big River, some at Ratmate Kolpu and some at Sisdol Aletar section.
