Devotees worshiping in the chariot of Rato Machindranath are being taken to Jawalakhel in Lalitpur. A program to show a special costume bhoto( vest) of Rato Machhindranath today in Jawalakhel.
The government has announced a public holiday in the three districts of Kathmandu Valley, on the occasion of the Rato Matsyendranath Jatra, the day on which the legendary bhoto (vest) of the Rato Matsyendranath deity is exhibited for public viewing.
The government gives public holidays in Kathmandu Valley every year on the occasion of Bhotojatra.
