Manmaya Timilsina, 74, died after jumping over a 50-meter-high wall in Comretar. Her 49-year-old son Maturam Timilsina has been injured in the incident.
The mother and the son had climbed the wall and jumped off it at around 10:30 last night. Deputy Superintendent of Police Raju Pandey informed that Manmaya died on the spot. Her son is undergoing further treatment at Bir Hospital after receiving first aid at Madhyapur Hospital.
They had a house in Biratchowk and lived in Comretar. Deputy Superintendent of Police Pandey said that further investigation was underway as it was learned that both of them were suffering from depression and had been taking drugs for a long time.
