Police on Tuesday arrested Pintu Mandal, a 26-year-old resident of New Road, Kathmandu, with 3 kg silver from Pharping in Dakshinkali Municipality-5.
Police arrested Mandal after searching his car, Tata Sumo (No. 1 Ja 6253), which was coming to Kathmandu from Birgunj with the silver hidden inside.
According to the Kathmandu Metropolitan Police, he was sent to the Tribhuvan International Airport Customs Office, Gauchar for necessary investigation and action.
