Prohibitory order in Kathmandu valley extended till May 27

The chief district officers (CDOs) of Kathmandu, Lalitpur, and Bhaktapur have decided to extend the prohibitory order in the valley by another 15 days.

The initial prohibitory order had been imposed from April 29 and would have come to an end on May 12 but the CDOs of Kathmandu valley have extended it till May 27.

A meeting of the District COVID-19 Crisis Management Centre held on Sunday had recommended the government to extend the prohibitory order in Kathmandu valley by a further 15 days. Similarly, the mayors of Kathmandu valley had also recommended for an extension of the prohibitory order.

A meeting of the three CDOs of the valley had taken place this morning and Kali Prasad Parajuli, Chief District Officer of Kathmandu, while speaking to NepalNews in the morning had hinted on the order being extended.
