Spring hearing by President Bhandari

President Bidya Devi Bhandari listened to Basanta Shrawan today at Nasal Chowk, Hanumandhoka Durbar today.

It is customary for the President to visit the place on the day of Saraswati Puja and listen to Basanta Shrawan. According to the same tradition, the President was greeted by a detachment of the Nepal Army and welcomed by Panche Baja. On the occasion, President Bhandari also received flowers, tika, and offerings from the priest.

Vice President Nanda Bahadur Pun, Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba, Chief Justice Cholendra Shamsher Jabra, Speaker Agni Prasad Sapkota, and National Assembly Speaker Ganesh Prasad Timilsana were present along with President Bhandari. Distinguished government officials were also present on the occasion. On the day of Basanta Panchami, Goddess Saraswati is worshiped all over the country.
