Organized by the Floriculture Association, the 16th Godawari flower competition exhibition has started at Jawalakhel in Lalitpur.
There are about 70 stalls in the exhibition. This exhibition was organized for five days.
The Floriculture Association said that the fair was organized to encourage and promote the production of Nepalese farmers.
Five varieties of Godawari flowers will be competed in the exhibition. The varieties of Godawari to be competed for are Miniature, Spider, Reflex, Incurve, and Godavari Cut Flower.
In the exhibition, Godawari flowers will be awarded in various categories.
It is expected that more than 40,000 people will visit the exhibition and the turnover will be more than Rs.1 crore.
At present, flower business is being done in 48 districts of Nepal in about 221 hectares.
