Sindur jaatra celebrated in Madhyapur Thimi, is a major festival celebrated by the Newar community. It is the day of colors. During the Jaatra, local authorities carrying 32 palanquins of several gods and goddesses and travels around the Thimi and finally reach Balkumari Temple.
