Digital X-ray service has been started at Janasewa Community Hospital, Jalpa which was established in 2069 BS by the locals of Diktel Rupakot-Majhuwagadhi Municipality-12, Jalpa, replacing the old technology X-ray equipment.

Chairman of the Hospital Management Committee, Dhruv Shrestha, informed that digital X-rays have been connected at a cost of Rs 1,500,000 "We have been providing health services in the village at a simple and convenient price," he said.

An additional Rs 500,000 has been spent on digital X-ray machine connection, purchase of wire, and purchase of supporting equipment at the hospital. The hospital has stated that it has received only digital X-ray machines while requesting a budget for the purchase of digital X-ray machines and printing machines. Earlier, the service was being provided through a small capacity X-ray machine in the hospital, but after the digital X-ray machine started providing services, the service recipients in the northern region have become comfortable, said Ward Chairman Vikas Rai. "As there was no digital machine in the hospital, people had to go to Diktel and the capital Kathmandu to do X-ray," he said.

Locals of 24 wards of Diktel, Rupakot, Majhuwagadhi Municipality, Kepilasgadhi Municipality, Aiselukhark Municipality, and Sawabensi Municipality have benefited from the community hospital established for the first time in the district on the initiative of locals of Jalpa through Janasewa Samaj Nepal Jalpa. It is stated that various specialist services and dental services are also available in the community hospital.
