A pregnant woman infected with coronavirus underwent a successful cesarean section at Nepalgunj-based Bheri Hospital on Friday.
Senior Gynecologist and Obstetrician at Bheri Hospital, Dr Kirtipal Subedi, said the 21-year-old woman of Tulasipur sub-metropolitan city, Dang, underwent emergency C-section for the first time today after second wave COVID-19. She has given birth to a baby boy through C-section.
Dr Subedi said the woman was referred to Bheri Hospital after she tested positive for coronavirus at Nepalgunj Medical College Teaching Hospital, Kohalpur. The condition of the pregnant woman was complicated when she was brought to the hospital.
Both mother and baby are now in isolation in the hospital.
