The Central Bureau of Statistics will also include the population of Lipulek, Limpiyadhura, and Kalapani areas of Darchula district for National Census, 2078 preliminary results.
Although the enumerators could not reach the area during the national census conducted from November 10 to November 26, they are going to conduct a census using alternative methods. The department is currently preparing to release the preliminary results of the census within three months. In 2018 BS, Nepal had conducted a census of that areas.
The department is planning to use the satellite method to conduct the census and count the numbers of houses and people living in the areas, said Deputy Director-General, Hemraj Regmi.
The enumerators couldn't reach there to collect the details during the census period, so we are preparing to conduct a census using alternative methods.
Although the department tried to conduct the census of those areas from the department and the district in a diplomatic manner, it was not possible to go there. As of now, the data will be collected using technology in collaboration with the locals.
According to the department, people are residing only in Kuti, Navi, and Gunji areas in the district. With three hundred households, the population in the area is assumed to be around 700-800 population.
As cold increases in the country, the people residing in those areas will migrate to Darchula's Chhangru and Tinkar to avoid cold, so it will become easier to contact them directly, said Regmi.
