India is to close the transit points on the border with Nepal for four days in view of the State Legislative election taking place in its Uttarakhand state.
Nepal and India on Tuesday signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for the construction of a motorable Bridge over the Mahakali River connecting Dharchula (India) with Darchula (Nepal), under Indian grant assistance.
The Nepal Army has been entrusted with the responsibility of constructing a four-kilometre track of a road from Tusarapani to Kothadhar in Darchula, a district in Sudurpaschim province.
The Central Bureau of Statistics will also include the population of Lipulek, Limpiyadhura, and Kalapani areas of Darchula district for National Census, 2078 preliminary results.
