The ongoing counting of votes for the House of Representatives in Kolhvi Municipality of Bara Region No. 1 has been halted.
Election officer Kailas KC informed that the counting of votes was stopped due to a dispute at the polling station.
According to him, a dispute broke at the polling station after Congress representatives demanded to have the votes of each municipality separately even though it was mutually agreed to start the counting of votes of multiple municipalities at once.
Election Officer KC has informed that although the counting of votes in the House of Representatives has stopped, the counting of votes in the Provincial Assembly is continuing.
The counting of votes was done in the new building of Kolhbi Municipality.
