Government's decision to provide Rs. 300,000 per flood victim's family

Karnali State Government Spokesperson and Minister for Economic Affairs and Planning Bindaman Bista said that the government has decided to provide financial assistance of Rs. 300,000 to the flood-affected families of Surkhet.

Announcing the decision taken by the cabinet meeting on Wednesday, spokesperson Bista said that the state government would provide Rs. At the rate of Rs. 300,000, the state government will have to pay Rs. 318.6 million to the flood victims.

Spokesperson Bista said that the cabinet meeting has decided to approve the 'Karnali Pradesh Poor Housing Program Implementation Procedure, 2078' submitted by the Ministry of Physical Infrastructure and Urban Development for the construction of houses for needy households in Karnali. He said that Rs. 500,000 would be provided in Humla and Dolpa and Rs. 400,000 in other districts for the construction of houses for the needy.

"It has been decided to introduce a bill to amend the Administrative Procedure Act, 2075 BS, introduced by the Office of the Chief Minister and Council of Ministers," he said. The meeting has decided to give approval for bringing it. ”

According to spokesperson Bista, the cabinet meeting has appointed Dr Naresh Bikram Dhakal as the social advisor to Chief Minister Jeevan Bahadur Shahi. Dr Dhakal is a permanent resident of Gurbhakot Municipality-2, Surkhet.
