Local level election: 1,500 employees being mobilized

The employees are to be mobilized in Tanahun.

A total of 1,500 employees will be mobilized in Tanahu for the local level election to be held on April 12. Apart from volunteers, the same number of employees is being mobilized.

District Election Officer Hari Prasad Dhakal informed that work is underway to collect the details of the employees in all the 10 municipalities of the district. The office has demanded details of staff and teachers for manpower management required for the election. He said that the details of the staff and teachers in the district have been demanded for mobilization in the election and the details will be sent to the Election Commission after receiving them. "Once the list is approved by the commission, the staff will start to work," he said.

There are 300 centers in those municipalities. Though no polling station has been added, discussions are underway to add more. One polling station has been set up for every one thousand voters.

23 parties are going to participate in the district. According to the District Election Office, Tanahu, a total of 23 parties, including 17 other nationally recognized parties, will participate in the election. According to Election Officer Dhakal, 23 parties have registered within the allotted time. "We have issued notice to the active political parties in the district to come with details to participate in the election," he said.
