Minister for Water Supply and Sanitation, Mani Chandra Thapa, has tested positive for coronavirus this morning.
Minister Thapa's swab was collected on Thursday after his daughter tested positive for coronavirus four days ago, said Minister Thapa’s personal secretary, Rajendra Gautam.
However, the PCR report of Secretariat members was negative.
Minister Thapa is under quarantine at the minister quarter in Pulchowk.
He is now suffering from a minor cold and cough.
Earlier, on April 27, Energy Minister, Top Bahadur Rayamajhi had also contracted COVID-19 and was admitted at Chhauni based army hospital.
