MoHA directs authorities to confirm truth of Darchula incident

The Ministry of Home Affairs has asserted that the authorities concerned have already been directed to confirm the reality of Darchula incident in which a Jaya Singh Dhami, a Nepali national was killed after falling off the tuin into Mahakali River on Friday.

The MoHA said that its serious attention was drawn regarding the news disseminated in the media about the death of Dhami after falling into the river when the Indian SSB personnel cut off the tuin (wire bridge) while he was crossing the river.

Spokesperson at the Ministry Phanindra Mani Pokharel expressed grief over the incident while adding that the local administration and security bodies were instructed to confirm the reality of the issue.

Likewise, the Ministry has also urged the media to not carry on the fabricated news to create an illusion without confirming the objectivity.
