A group meeting (AA20) led by Nepal to help establish direct contacts between the embassies of the Asia-Africa region in Japan and various Japanese companies seeking to expand their business was recently held in Tokyo.
The meeting was organized by the Nepalese Embassy in Tokyo in the presence of former Japanese Finance Minister Koriki Jojima, representatives of various Japanese government bodies, ambassadors of various Asian and African countries, and representatives of the Nepali business community.
The keynote speaker of the meeting, Shohei Sugita, Senior Advisor, Department of Internal Strategy and Partnership, JICA, said that Nepal has attractive investment sectors including tourism and hydropower and urged Japanese investors to take advantage of the opportunities available in Nepal.
After the meeting, the guests were welcomed with Nepali and Japanese food along with a promotional video exhibition reflecting the diversity of Nepali art and culture, according to the Nepali Embassy in Tokyo.
