One person died when a truck hit a scooter near Pokhara Bus Park in Bharatpur Metropolitan City-1 and the other one has been injured.
The deceased has been identified as Sandeep Gurung, 21, of Ichchakamana Village Municipality-3. According to the District Police Office, a truck (Na 5 Kha 8497) heading towards Muglin from Pulchowk hit a scooter (Na 26 Pa 4851) heading towards Pokhara Bus Park from Bhitri Road at around 1.30 this morning. Manish Lama, 21, of Gaindakot Municipality-4 was seriously injured in the collision. He is undergoing treatment at Chitwan Medical College, Bharatpur. Gurung, who was riding in the back, died while undergoing treatment. The driver has been taken under control by the police.
