A man accidentally shoots his son to death in Ribdikot Rural Municipality-6 in Palpa district, on Friday evening
The deceased has been identified as Dhan Bahadur Lamtari (35) of Tallo Tal in Ribdi-6.
According to Palpa District Police Office, Karna Bahadur Lamtari (56), took aim with a muzzleloader gun and fired at a jackal sighted in a maize field about 100 metres away from his house. The bullet however accidentally hit his son Dhan Bahadur, leaving him dead.
The explosives fired from the gun had hit Dhan Bahadur's head. Following the accident, police have arrested the father and further investigation is underway.
