The Supreme Court has started hearing cases through video conference from today.

Advocate Bijay Prasad Mishra became the first lawyer today to place his arguments related to a habeas corpus case at the Supreme Court. The case was being heard by a single bench of Justice Anil Kumar Sinha, who termed it a historic moment for Nepal.

Meanwhile, Advocate Mishra also requested the Supreme Court to make use of available technologies so that hearings could be conducted without the physical presence of the concerned parties in the courts.

He also thanked Justice Sinha for taking the initiative to utilise technology in the court.
