Police on Wednesday arrested a man who lied to his family and police about being abducted and held hostage by an unidentified man.
According to Bed Prakash Joshi, Deputy Superintendent of Police at the District Police Office, Raghunath Ojha, a resident of Hasanpur in Dhangadhi Sub-Metropolis-5, has been taken under control from Dhangadhi-1. According to Pranau Joshi, Ojha had informed the family from Chitwan on January 5 that he was going to his brother's wedding from Chitwan, where he was studying.
While the investigation is being carried out in coordination with the family, it is said that the man had gone to Pokhara from Narayanghat via Butwal with his girlfriend on the same date and returned home from Pokhara after running out of money. The incident is being further investigated.
