Two missing in Manang, Myagdi

One person has gone missing in Manang and one in Myagdi due to heavy snowfall since Tuesday evening.

One person has gone missing in Manang and one in Myagdi due to heavy snowfall since Tuesday evening.

According to Rabindra Prasad Acharya, head of the District Administration Office, Manang, Achchhu Gurung, 52, of Naso village in Manang has gone missing due to heavy snowfall.

He had fallen into an avalanche while moving a sheepfold in Tapki Lake of the same ward on Wednesday evening. The search for the missing is underway. So far no information has been received.

Similarly, a person from Dhaulagiri Village Municipality-1, Gurja went missing during snowfall in Myagdi on Thursday. According to District Administration Office Myagdi Assistant Chief District Officer Dhirendra Raj Pant, 50-year-old Ram Bahadur Chhantyal is missing.

He also went missing in an avalanche while going to a sheepfold. He was accompanied by three others who had gone missing. But, they have come in contact. The search for the missing person is underway, said Assistant CDO Pant.
