Candidates of all parties have gone to Krishnaman Shrestha's house in Tikathali to seek votes. He said that he had mentioned the problem of drinking water to the candidates who came to the house to ask for votes. All the candidates have said that they will solve the problem by listening. He said that he always relied on tankers when there was no water.

Shrestha said that the candidates of CPN-UML, Nepali Congress, Maoist Center, CPN (Unified Socialist) and other parties should plan to provide drinking water and improve the inner roads. With the resumption of Melamchi water supply, there is a shortage of water in the surrounding municipalities, but there is a water problem in the Mahalakshmi municipality.

Although the Gwarkhae-Lamatar road passing through most of the wards of the municipality has been constructed, the inner road is yet to be constructed. He said, "The road should be sloped or pitched as there is a dense settlement inside the main road."

Sarita KC of Imadol said that those who went to seek votes in the last election said that they would remove the problem of drinking water after winning and this time they have repeated it. He reminded the candidate that even if the condition of the main road of the city is good, attention should be paid to the side roads. He said, "I have already cast my vote by looking at who has voted for whom and when."

With the local level election two days away, candidates of all parties in Mahalakshmi Municipality have already sought votes through various means. They have demanded systematic sharing with the candidates who reach the houses of the city dwellers. They have asked the candidates to focus on road improvement, availability of drinking water, construction of sewers and waste management. All the candidates have made this the main election agenda. At present, the road is under construction and is being expanded.

In Mahalakshmi municipality, 11 candidates have registered for the post of chief and five for the post of deputy chief. A total of 253 candidates including 56 ward chairpersons, 102 ward members, 47 women members and 32 Dalit women members have registered their candidacies in the municipality.
