Indra Prasad Gotame of the CPN (Maoist Centre) emerged victorious in the Province Assembly election from Rasuwa constituency no. 1 (2). A total of 14,558 votes were cast in the constituency and 358 votes cast were deemed invalid.
The office of the polling officer said that Gotame won the election by getting 8,533 votes while his nearest rival Tembrel Tamang of the CPN (UML) managed 4,084 votes.
