In Kathmandu Constituency 8, former media worker Rabi Lamichhane's party National Independent Party has maintained its lead since the beginning. Biraj Bhakta Shrestha of said party has maintained his lead so far.
Birajbhakta Shrestha has secured the lead by getting 6109 votes so far. Candidate of Our Nepal Party Suman Sayami has got 4613 votes so far. Jeevan Ram Shrestha, the current Tourism Minister and the candidate of CPN United Samajwadi Party, is now in third place. He got 2401 votes and CPN-UML's candidate
Shiv Sundar Rajbaidya has got 2347 votes.
