Chairman of Janamat Party, CK Raut, has kept on leading in the vote count for election to the member of House of Representatives from Saptari-2.
He has kept steady rise in the count with 18,494 votes at present while he is trailed by Upendra Yadav with 9,230 votes. Jay Prakash Thakur, a candidate on behalf of ruling alliance got 3,736 votes.
So far, 33,943 votes are counted. Among which, 1747 votes were invalid, according to Office of Chief Returning Officer, Saptari. Now, 30,617 votes are left to be counted in this constituency.
In both members of Province Assembly, Janamat Party candidates got victory. In Province Assembly (1), Satish Kumar Singh won the election with 16,734 votes while Mahesh Prasad Yadav got victory with 13,325 votes being member of Province Assembly (2).
