Mangalprasad Gupta, candidate of CPN (UML) in the House of Representatives of Kapilvastu Region No. 3, has won. Gupta won by getting 22 thousand 619 votes. Congress candidate Abhishek Pratap Shah has got 18 thousand 982 votes.
Gupta won by a margin of 3,637 votes.
