Vote count halts in Ilam-2

As the vote count of Ilam Municipality-1 was going on, the ruling alliance protested the count, arguing that 40 ballot papers were lost, and 44 others had no signatures of voting officer.

In this constituency, former speaker and UML candidate Subash Chandra Nembang and Nepali Congress candidate Dambar Bahadur Khadka are in the election fray.

So far, Nembang is ahead with 130 votes.
