Nepali Congress leader Sujata Koirala has said that the 14th general convention of the party has paved a way for women to lead the party in the near future.

He had decided to support Deuba as the party's chairman to create an atmosphere of consensus within the party after holding discussions with his constituents this morning.

There is an arrangement to elect one chairperson, two deputy chairpersons, two general secretaries, and eight joint general secretaries from among the office bearers of the NC Central Working Committee.

The Nepali Congress has published the final list of candidates for office bearers and central member posts in the 14th General Convention.
