Police have arrested Bishnu Bahadur Karki, 44, of Bajura Budhinanda Municipality-1, from Budhanilkantha Municipality-7, Kathmandu on Thursday.
Patan High Court sentenced him to 7 days imprisonment and fined Rs 2.7 million in banking offense case. He was arrested from Budhanilkantha, Kathmandu by the Metropolitan Crime Branch.
He was also sentenced to 3 years in prison with Rs 250,000 fine for foreign employment offence case in 2004, 2 years in prison with Rs 199,000 fine in two banking offences by Kathmandu district court. He ad fled after the court hearing.
It has also come to light that he has cheated various people under the pretext of giving them jobs as pilots in airlines and making demands.
He has been sent to Kathmandu District Court for necessary action, the branch said.
