The vehicle owners who have not paid the tax renewal as specified from the financial year 2070/71 to 2075/76 and pay said amount by the end of February, the penalty for the time period will be waived as per the notice issued today by Transportation Management Office, Kathmandu .
The office has also requested the vehicle owners who have yet to pay taxes from the previous financial years to pay on time.
The department has also given the information that it is going to strictly implement the tax collection work in cooperation with the relevant local level by preparing a list of vehicles and vehicle owners who have not paid the vehicle tax.
The department has made it clear that tax, renewal and fine amounts will be collected on the same basis as government dues, so no exemption will be given under any pretext.
