PM’s press advisor, personal secys test positive for COVID-19

Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli’s Press Advisor Surya Thapa and Chief Personal Secretary Indra Prasad Bhandari have contracted coronavirus infection.

Press Advisor Thapa confirmed the result of the PCR test adding that PM’s personal undersecretary Rupesh Acharya also tested positive for the virus.

Thapa and Bhandari had Corona Virus infection prior to this as well.

On Friday, more than 100 persons’ swabs were collected including of Prime Minister Oli and officials of his secretariat.

Director of Epidemiology and Infectious Disease Control Division Dr Krishna Poudel said that PM Oli tested negative during the PCR test.
