The Traffic Police have taken action against 1,407 drivers on Saturday for flouting the traffic rules. Among those facing action, 446 faced the music for keeping an unclear number plate and four for drunk driving.
Similarly, 155 drivers faced action for speed, five for unnecessarily blowing horns, two motorcyclists for unusually high noise, and 788 drivers for miscellaneous traffic offenses. The Traffic Police took action in course of a special traffic checking campaign conducted in Kathmandu Valley on Saturday, said Superintendent of Police Awadesh Bista Chhetri, the joint spokesperson at the Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office.
