Russia-Ukraine Conflict: 244 Nepalis in Safe Destination

244 Nepalis affected by Russia-Ukraine conflict have reached their destination safely. The High Level Committee for Assistance and Rescue of Nepalis Affected by the Russia-Ukraine Conflict formed by the Non-Resident Nepali Association (NRNA) has stated that Nepalis have reached their destination safely.

 In a press release issued today, the committee said that 60 people had left Ukraine for Poland, 12-12 in Slovakia and Romania, four in Hungary and two in Moldova. On the way to the safe destination, 130 Nepalis were stopped at the border of Poland, 12 at the border of Slovakia, 10 at the border of Romania and two at the border of Moldova.

They are expected to cross the border by this evening. According to the Non-Resident Nepali Association Ukraine, 40 families have been living permanently in Ukraine. A meeting chaired by Nepal's Ambassador to Germany Ram Kaji Khadka on Sunday decided to take necessary steps for the safe relocation of Nepalis displaced due to the war.

 During the meeting, Ambassador Khadka informed that the embassy had issued travel permits to 34 Nepalis displaced from Ukraine. Dr. Badri KC, Coordinator of the High Level Committee and Vice-Chairman of NRNA, informed that the President of the Association, Kumar Pant Nepali, has been mobilized in the border area of ​​Poland for the rescue.
