According to the Chief Election Office, the local elections in Bhaktapur are being held in a peaceful, fair and cordial atmosphere.
Chief Election Officer Gopal Prasad Banstola informed that about 65 percent of the votes had been cast in Bhaktapur district by 3 pm. Voting is scheduled to end by 5 p.m.
There are a total of one lakh 89 thousand 584 voters in the district. Of these, 57,270 are in Bhaktapur Municipality, 43,104 in Changunarayan Nagar, 47,367 in Suryabinayak Nagar and 41,843 in Madhyapur Thimi Nagar.
