In today's second meeting of the National Assembly, Finance Minister Janardan Sharma has proposed that the principles and priorities of the Appropriation Bill for the Fiscal Year 2022/23 (excluding the tax proposal) be discussed in the House.
In the meeting, the proposal to suspend the provision of sub-rule (3) of rule 133 of the National Assembly Rules 2018 has been unanimously passed. The proposal was tabled in the House by MP Anita Devkota. The proposal was supported by MPs Gopi Bahadur Sarki Achhami and Pramila Kumari.
The main opposition party CPN (UML) did not protest in the second meeting of the National Assembly. Chief Whip of the CPN-UML, Devendra Dahal, said that the obstruction was allowed to happen in a peaceful manner so that the meeting to be conducted in a regular manner and the party's demand remained.
