The CPN (UML) has passed the draft manifesto for the upcoming local elections. The decision was taken at a meeting held at the party president's residence in Balkot on Monday, said party Deputy General Secretary Prithvi Subba Gurung. The party had formed a committee headed by Senior Vice-Chairman Ishwor Pokharel to prepare the manifesto.
UML will make its manifesto and commitment letter public at the center level on April 22. The meeting will add 12 departments to the party, expand the advisory council and add 51 members to the 278 liaison committee, Gurung said. The meeting also directed the party ranks to focus on the election.
