CPN (Unified Socialist) candidate Ishwar Man Dangol has won for the post of ward chairman of Kathmandu Metropolitan City Ward No. 15.
Dangol got 3,476 votes and won the post for the second term. He had been the chairman of the same ward before.
His nearest rival, Nepali Congress candidate Jeevan Dangol, polled 1,572 votes. Similarly, the CPN (Unified Socialist) candidate has also won in four seats. Biju Shrestha and Avsara KC have emerged victorious in the open category, Maiyalakshmi Maharjan in the women's category and Rita Mijar in the dalit women's category.
UCPN (Maoist) has won the post of ward chairman in Kathmandu Metropolitan City after Dangol was elected ward chairman. Kathmandu-15 includes Malchatar, Swayambhu, Geetamata, Vijeshwari, Shobhabhagwati and other areas.
