Far-Western team has been announced for the Chief Minister's Cup National Women's Under-19 Cricket Tournament.
According to Far Western Provincial Cricket Association Secretary Tej Prakash Bhatta, a 14-member team has been announced for the tournament. The team consists of Sneha Mahara, Manisha Chaudhary, Annu Kadayat, Janaki Thapa, Sudha Dhami, Pavitra Dhami, Yeshu Pandey, Yashoda Bista, Manisha Bohra, Seema Kunwar, Ayushma Dhanuk, Rama Budhathoki, Anita Joshi and Radhika Pujara.
Similarly, Laxmi Mahar, Kashish Pal, Chetna Kunwar and Manisha Bohara have been selected as alternate players, according to the Far Western Provincial Cricket Association. Far-Western cricket coach Janaki Kumari Bhatta said that the 14-member squad was announced on the basis of their excellent performance in the closed training.
The Women's Under-19 National Cricket Tournament is being held in Dhangadhi from April 20 with the support of the Nepal Cricket Association and Far Western Province. The Chief Minister's Cup Women's Under-19 Cricket Tournament has been organized for the first time. All the provinces of the country will participate in the competition to be held at Fapta Cricket Ground in Dhangadhi. In the inaugural match, there will be competition between Far West and Karnali.
The tournament will help in the production and development of women cricketers, said Nepal Cricket Association President Chatur Bahadur Chand.
