46% votes done till now in Kathmandu Valley

Home Secretary Binod Prakash Singh has said that up to 46 percent voting has been completed in Kathmandu Valley so far. On Sunday, while observing the various polling stations in Kathmandu Valley (Kathmandu, Bhaktapur, Lalitpur), he said that he got the information that up to 46 percent of the voting has been completed.

He said that polling has been conducted peacefully and orderly so far. The Home Secretary informed that he is taking steps to resume the voting even in the places where the polling was stopped and it has been resumed in some places.

He said that there has been no physical damage to election materials, election staff, voters and candidates. He also informed that necessary vehicles have been deployed for transportation of ballot boxes.

He said, "We are making arrangements to resume voting even in the places where voting has been stopped. There was no material damage to election materials, election staff, voters and candidates. We have tightened the security system.”

A team of chief security officers including Secretary Singh has visited various polling centers in Kathmandu, Bhaktapur and Lalitpur. He said that during the inspection, voters were voting enthusiastically at the polling station.
