CPN (UML) candidate Pokharel elected from Morang-2

Rishikesh Pokharel of CPN (UML) wins by defeating Sujata Koirala of Nepali Congress in Morang 2. Pokharel defeated Koirala, who was also the former deputy prime minister, by a margin of 1,208 votes.

While Pokharel won with 33 thousand 148 votes, his opponent Koirala got 31 thousand 940 votes.
